Is there really a difference between Watson, boca pharm, qualitest since it's hydrocodone and acetaminophen? If so why would one work Breyer or worse?

Hello, Dodger! How are you?

Yes, there can be differences. Under the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984, generics are allowed to differ from the name brand by as much as plus or minus 20% of the active ingredients. They also don't have to measure against each other, just the original name brand.

Thus, one generic may be slightly higher in the amount of the active ingredients, while another may be exactly on track and yet another could be slightly low.

The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

The differences are actually very slight and don't affect the greater amount of people that take any given medication, but they can cause problems for some people.

Is there anything else I can help with?
