Difference Between Yellow Hydrocodone Acetaminophen With 1096 Vs White Pill Same Strength But U03. Both Say Sub For Norco. (Page 4)

Just want to know difference between both pills, beside Manufacturers. I was taking Hydocodone-Acetaminophen 10-325 yellow pill #1096 on one side a V on other side. I was then switched to a white oval pill with the same strength, but has U03 on one side. both say substituted for Norco.
Agree with genius back when I was taking hydrocodone for pain on a regular basis I got the yellow generic ones which were okay from CVS and I got white ones from Walmart not sure of the manufacturer I think they said it was the same one as the yellow but I found them to be not nearly as effective. The FDA allows generic drug manufacturers two very the active ingredient by what percentage that I forgot.
I know my pain. The white version sucks and the yellow works... Pain Dr's get one that works and the next thing you know, you have to get a new Dr, and then get prescribed these new so called white hydro's that do not work....I've been on pain management for 23 years now and never came close to overdosing. I was doing OK with the yellow version, but now I have to take twice as much of the white one to even come close to feeling better... Also my pharmacy informed me 9 out of 10 customers complain about the white pills, so they changed back to yellow.
obviously you do not have chronic pain nor have you read the fda policy on generic drugs my guess you are a clerk in a drug store following store readeric no they are not the same read the thread
Their both the same.. except one has yellow dye and the other doesn't, they are the same.
the yellow are 10/325 made by qualifest distributed by par pharmacuticals if you look at the rigbt of the strength you will see a few letters that is the code for manufacteror my pharmacy acuatally say qualitest but beware par also has plant in ny that makes white 10/325 that dont perform as well .... if you call pharmacy ask if they carry the yellow qualitest made in alabama for par pharmasuticals .... be well
Yes, there is a difference in my book. I have been taking the yellow Norco 10/325 for Rheumatoid Arthritis for 3 yrs. GENERIC IS THE PRICE OF WHAT UR COVERAGE WILL PAY. Just started taking the Watson version three months ago. U can't assume anything. These white Watson have been making me feel nausea. I don't like to Pharmacy shop. Been with them 3 yrs. They just switched them without telling me. When I ask, they told me that the pharmaceutical company was bought out by another one. They trade and buy out companies like drinking water. I will be looking for another pharmacy soon.
When my Pharmacy gave me a generic for Hydrocodone that didn't work the same, I called around until I found a Pharmacy that stocked a brand I wanted. Hopefully, that will remedy your problem too. Good luck!
I have to agree. Today I received the U109 marked pills. I usually get the p115 or if I'm lucky the one with the z (orange). They all are different when it comes to the length of time it helps with pain management. The orange last longer through the day which means I will take less, but local pharmacies don't seem to stock them now.
Not unless you are using them recreationally... if strong you take less.... the fda needs to step up and accept their responsibility in the so called opioid epidemic od problem... there should not be a range of effective ingredients, they should be specific... the range of 20% either way is a major swing. you could be getting 8 and then go to 12 on hydrocodone 10, but if you get 60mg oxycontin you could go from 48 to 72. that is nearly double the opioid... the fda set this issue up and now they pass laws punishing chronic pain sufferers to have no freedom to travel. you have to report to the pain management dr every month and no other dr can write you a script for fear of prosecution... so it is almost like being on parole for being in pain... and climate effects pain but you cant take advantage of better climates because instead of punishing the criminal they pass laws restricting the rights of those who live with pain on a daily basis.
No the yellow are stronger. So would it causes you to want to take more than prescribed.
Yes, this gentleman is correct. I don't care what the Pharmacists say! There's a big difference between the yellow Narco & the Watson, white brand with 853 on them.
The only time i have ever been prescribed liquid codeine was for bronchial issues as a coughing relief and have serious chronic pain but i also refuse increases in pain medication because i do not want to mask the pain to the point that i injure myself further from over stressing the areas i have issues at .... i know you think i am weird but its my pain and you cant have it its mine haha & its better to hurt and be able to function than be foggy from more medication
Why did they stop giving hydrocodone and codeine to the people that have more pain?
Three back surgeries, two neck surgeries, shoulder, elbow surgery.20 years now yellow norco one and one half good four to five hours, now U03 two at a time nothing.had it under control now hurt constantly. WHATS UP.....Just want the truth.
That is ridiculous. That's not it at all! If someone was buying yellow, green or blue pills off someone and they get switched they are still gonna buy from that person. lmao
I have heard they are doing away with the yellow generic of norco because people seeking them out to buy or to sell will not be as likely to know what to look for.
I'm use to taking the yellow norcos or the white Watson for some reason when I take the white 176 it makes me sick why if they are all the same strength and milgram 10/325 but when I take the yellow norcos and the white Watson it helps me so much better but today I went to fill my prescription and they gave me the u03 and I was upset because I have never seen them before and I didn't think it would work but I get home and take 2 and it helped my pain but why is it when I take the white 176 it makes me sick!
Most that say there all the same do not have to live with chronic pain and need pain meds to just almost maintain their lives..... chronic pain sufferers know the dif because we live it ... and way to often get treated with disrespect because of the need for pain relief ... i personally have been treated like and accussed of being being a criminal due to my condition and telling the drugest the dif in the meds ... and never took scripts in that were written from more than 1 pain management clinic and was refused meds even tho my drug insurance plan said it was refill time as did the doctor ..... these power hungry pharmecist need reighned in .... sorry i got carried away
I agree totaly with you. Alot of people say theres no difference it's just in your head!! K
The U03 pills are really weaker than the yellow Narco. I don't want any more of dat kind at all.
