Difference Between Yellow Hydrocodone Acetaminophen With 1096 Vs White Pill Same Strength But U03. Both Say Sub For Norco. (Page 3) (Top voted first)
UpdatedJust want to know difference between both pills, beside Manufacturers. I was taking Hydocodone-Acetaminophen 10-325 yellow pill #1096 on one side a V on other side. I was then switched to a white oval pill with the same strength, but has U03 on one side. both say substituted for Norco.
Yes, this gentleman is correct. I don't care what the Pharmacists say! There's a big difference between the yellow Narco & the Watson, white brand with 853 on them.
obviously you do not have chronic pain nor have you read the fda policy on generic drugs my guess you are a clerk in a drug store following store readeric no they are not the same read the thread
I know my pain. The white version sucks and the yellow works... Pain Dr's get one that works and the next thing you know, you have to get a new Dr, and then get prescribed these new so called white hydro's that do not work....I've been on pain management for 23 years now and never came close to overdosing. I was doing OK with the yellow version, but now I have to take twice as much of the white one to even come close to feeling better... Also my pharmacy informed me 9 out of 10 customers complain about the white pills, so they changed back to yellow.
You can thank your fda for putting a 20% variable on generics... The fda needs to step up and accept their part in the opioid issue (it is not an epidemic... Epidemics are diseases, opioids are a drug). That variance can be a major issue on higher generic opioids. If you are scripted 60mg & your pharmacy has been getting them at the 48mg level then changes suppliers and now gets them at the 72mg level and you usually took a double dose in morning because you were not actually getting the scripted dose, you just went from 96mg to 144 mg. That is a major change for an individual just trying to get through the day.... Now lets say you are an abuser of the meds and instead of 2 you take 10 --- now you went from 480mg to 720mg and the fda just killed you... That may be a bit extreme but the theory is sound.
I usually take the yellow norcos, however, was out of town and got them filled at another pharmacy. I was given an oval white kind imprint U03. My complaint is, these make me feel loopy, which I don't like. I am wondering if anyone has had this problem?
Re: Neil (# 7)
My husband is disabled even though you couldn't tell by looking at him. The Walgreens pharmacy told me that the white Watson 325/10mg and the yellows were the exact same on paper. So I told my husband I think it was just in his head the yellows were stronger, yes I know they are stronger than the IP910 and the 176s but on paper the yellows and the Watson are the same. Well May 1st I had a table saw accident and almost lost 2 of my fingers. I got my pain meds filled and for the yellows my husband filled his at Walgreens so he had the white Watson, just to prove it was all in his head I traded him 1 of my yellows for 1 of his Watson's to make a long story short the White Watson felt like I took a tic tac I might of well have. I had NO pain relief. When it was time for my next dose I took a yellow and 10 minutes later I felt the pain start to subside. I will never tell my husband it's in his head again. The yellows and the Watson's maybe the exact same on paper but not even close when it comes to relieving pain and don't get me started on that Tramadol crap.
The drug cartel have us over a barrel. We don't know what we are taking or if its any good. Get a lot of my medicine out of Canada at a fraction of the cost. An American drug supplier told me I didn't know the quality of the Canadian stuff. But one of the drugs had the Sandoz trademark stamped on it. I asked myself "What does he know?" We in the United States are getting scammed badly and no politician taking up for us.
Is that why all of metro Detroit is out? Totally out! Was sold to Brazil. Huh.
Ibuprofen is 800 mg not Tylenol and yu only get that 800mg ibuprofen by prescription.
To my husband and I the yellow Norco work way better than the white oval ones do. The pain medication that worked the best foresults me were the Green Lorcet or the Vicodine 7.5/750 but the took them completely off the shelf.
You know what they say......everybody is different. I'm 51, and up until last night (10-10-16), Hydrocodone would always make me feel sick to my stomach. I've been dealing with the pain from a partially finished root canal (to be finished tomorrow). I've been trying to tough-it-out, but the pain became so bad, that I almost went to the ER. I was given one of the white U03's, and AMAZINGLY, it didn't make me sick, AND relieved about 90% of my pain. I'm a lightweight when it comes to drugs, but the point is that these DID NOT make me feel sick.
They have even took a lot of the ingredients out of the Watson 10's they r not like they use to be
Why did they stop giving hydrocodone and codeine to the people that have more pain?
I have to agree. Today I received the U109 marked pills. I usually get the p115 or if I'm lucky the one with the z (orange). They all are different when it comes to the length of time it helps with pain management. The orange last longer through the day which means I will take less, but local pharmacies don't seem to stock them now.
Yes, there is a difference in my book. I have been taking the yellow Norco 10/325 for Rheumatoid Arthritis for 3 yrs. GENERIC IS THE PRICE OF WHAT UR COVERAGE WILL PAY. Just started taking the Watson version three months ago. U can't assume anything. These white Watson have been making me feel nausea. I don't like to Pharmacy shop. Been with them 3 yrs. They just switched them without telling me. When I ask, they told me that the pharmaceutical company was bought out by another one. They trade and buy out companies like drinking water. I will be looking for another pharmacy soon.
Thank you... I have to drive 30 miles round trip for yellow norco, as I do, because the difference from the white ones are so noticeable. WHITE HYDRO'S SUCK!!!
I take them for chronic pain. No insurance so it sucks. I tried almost every pharmacy in my town. Last filled prescription I got the yellow ones at HEB. $85 out of pocket and they do not work. I've had white ones that worked better. Im so sick of it. I need something that works. We are screwed by the pharmaceutical companies.
I don't understand why the u30 make you feel so diffeent. I have taken 2 today of the 4 I'm prescribed daily I usually have a normal energy level. I have three kids and I I'm a hairdresser and I'm completely functional but today I'm itching uncontrollably and I keep feeling like I'm just going to fall asleep. I called the doctor's office and they said to contact the pharmacy. I don't understand why if it's the same medication this is happening. They said they are out of the other brand right now but I cannot continue to take this. Any advice?
Re: Confusedmcsc (# 93)
