Before I continue very far down this road I'm wondering about what happens once I've reached my goal weight with respect to staying on or getting off of Contrave? I've not discussed this with my physician. I'm mostly concerned about effects on mental health. Should one expect to stay on this drug for the rest of their life? About 3 years ago I was treated for rather mild depression that was treated with Celexa. I'm presently on 20 mg of Celexa. For the 3 days I've taken it I've felt a bit groggy and have periods of feeling very very sleepy when I don't think I should be. ## Hello, Les! How are you? The feeling groggy and sleepy can be normal side effects of this medication, in some people that take it. As ...
I have been taking Belviqu for about a week. I have experienced extreme fatigue, light headed ness sometimes stumbling.. I have also experienced confusion. I'm afraid because I have had MS symptoms that are similar. I stayed in bed most of the day. I may discontinue this RX. ## Hello, Lefty! How are you? In this case, it's difficult to say. Those are possible side effects of Belviq, as listed by the FDA, you may also experience shivering, diarrhea and abdominal pain. However, it could also be due to MS. It would be best to consult your doctor to have yourself checked out. Is there anything else I can help with?
I am taking Redotex in the morning and orlistat twice a day, one after lunch and one after dinner, It's is my first day, I took them for a month about 4 years ago and los 45lbs, mind you, I was eating extremely healthy and was working out 3 hours a day, jog for one hour in the am and at night would do at the time turbo jam and as soon as I was done with that I'd go for another hour jog. My head would hurt every morning, it was more of a pain in the back of my lower head, but I stuck it out and if ever I felt dizzy I would eat an orange and I would feel better 15 minutes after. The combination is quite dangerous but if you are limiting your caffeine intake and are following your doctors orders you should be fine.. Consult your doctors, well if you live close by the border, becaus...
Where is (8 oz.) Isocal Liquid Nutrition available and how much is 1 case? I want to use it as a dietary supplement because I'm underweight and lactose intolerant. Any suggestions so I can gain weight? ## Hello, Ted! How are you? I've found it listed as being available at several online retailers for roughly $80 a case. The FDA does warn that it may cause constipation in some people that use it. However, as to your being underweight, how low is your weight in relation to your height and age? Have you had it checked out by your doctor to rule out a medical issue? The best way to gain is usually with a healthy, high calorie diet.
Hi. I'm on my second week and have lost a few pounds. I was just wondering if there are any longer term users who experienced constipation that did not last. I had pelvic surgery a few years back and a sling was needed. I am worried that the straining of constipation might mess with my sling. If anyone has had relief from constipation, I'd be interested to hear about it an if you have any suggestions. Thanks! ## Hello, Sandi! How are you? Yes, several other users have reported experiencing constipation and that it usually goes away after a week, or two, as their body gets used to the medication. Other side effects, as listed by the FDA, may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache and insomnia. However, in your case, you should check with your doctor to see what you can do t...
I used to weigh 285 lbs. With the Belviq I lost an amazing 55 lbs. over a period of 9 months. I have since tapered off so my doctor took me off of it. If I'm off it for about 4-6 weeks will the weight loss pick up again as though I started it for the first time? My first month of taking it was May 1, 2014. Within that month I lost 20 lbs. My goal is to get down to at least 155 or lower. I'm a big boned girl so that size would be ok with me. If I lose more than that.....GREAT! I ended up gaining all of my weight from the medication Depakote. By the time I was done with the Depakote I weighed a whopping 324. I was so depressed and hated leaving my house. I thought I would always be alone and overweight. I've had surgery after surgery for various things and haven't really b...
I have been taking contrave for 4 months now I had problems with constipation and now have a prolapsed bladder I may need surgery can I go back on Contrave if I stop taking it??? I have lost 56 pounds but I am afraid I will gain it back right away Loving the way I feel being much lighter wish I didn't have this problem. ## Hello Joann! How are you? Yes, if you were straining due to the constipation, that can sometimes cause a bladder prolapse. And yes, many people stop Contrave long enough to have surgery, then start taking it, again, once their doctor says they can. The FDA lists the typical side effects of Contrave as possibly including nausea, dizziness, insomnia, nervousness and anorexia. Is there anything else I can help with? ## thank you very much have a nice evening
My doctor just prescribed Phentermine 37.5 mg for me a few weeks and I asked her if it would be safe to take phentermine while taking a natural supplement called spirulina. My doctor had no clue what spirulina was/is and advised me that she needed to do research on it. I use Earthrise brand Spirulina powder in my morning smoothies, and I've stopped taking it to allow my doctor to do her research, but I've not gotten an answer from her yet. Does anyone on the forum know if it would be OK for me to start back taking my spirulina powder whilst taking phentermine 37.5 mg Rx? Thanks in advance. ## Since Spirulina is a supplement product, finding such information can be hard. However, what I've found so far, doesn't list any problems or interactions, but you may want to wait t...
Hi I had dental work done and the lat time I took my meds was two days ago which was Oxycondone can I start taking my convave again ## Hello, Danielle! How are you? Did you start taking it, again? Generally, there should be at least 72 hours of separation between one and the other, if you're not a chronic opiate user, unless your doctor instructs you otherwise. The FDA lists the typical side effects of Contrave as possibly including nausea, dizziness, insomnia, nervousness and anorexia. Is there anything else I can help with?
I lost 13 lbs. but did have bouts of mild nausea occasionally the first month with Contrave. But, I had a whopper last weekend. I have a really strong stomach and cannot remember the last time I had a stomach bug. I experienced lightheadedness, weakness in my legs and neck, as well as neck pain. It felt like I couldn't hold my head up. Also, there was a strange numbness/tingling in my left hand. It seemed to improve about 45 minutes after I began sipping water and laid down with my legs raised above the level of my head. I'm up to 15 lbs. lost and really don't want to go off of it for mild nausea/side effects. But, I don't think I can do another episode like that. Suggestions? ## Throughout the 2 months I have now been on Contrave, I have had 3 alarming episodes. The wei...
I have been on this medication since March and have lost about 20 pounds. However, in the last month I have not only lost nothing but am gaining slightly and I no longer feel the effects of not wanting to eat. Is it possible to modify the dose to again feel the loss of wanting to eat? Has anyone else experienced this? ## Actually, it is very common for people taking such medications to hit a plateau phase for a month or so. Most patients have reported it, but once past that, the weight loss usually starts back up. After a certain period of time, which can vary from person to person, your body adjusts to the medication and basically starts to try to fight it to maintain itself. Most people have found that they've eventually lost weight, again, by just staying the course, but it's...
I've taken hydrocodone for years due to chronic pain, I'm needing to lose weight but have to keep taking my pain meds. Will the contrave block the pain out like the hydrocodone does or just block the hydrocodone from working ## Hello, Rayne! How are you? No, Contrave will not do anything to alleviate pain. The FDA lists it as containing Naloxone and Bupropion, so yes, it will also block most opiates from having any effect. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, insomnia, nervousness, headache and dry mouth. What has your doctor advised?
Found a small light blue hexagon shaped pill in my daughters room. It has no markings or numbers or letters on it. It's blank. So I'm having a hard time figuring out what it was that she was taking. She said she got it from a friend and that it was to help her with dieting. I took them from her and she is not taking them anymore but I'd really like to know what she was putting in her body because I noticed a huge difference in her mood, very angry and not herself. If anyone has any information for me that would be great because I'd like to know what my daughter has been getting into.
UpdatedI have been taking Belviq for almost 4 months. I have lost 30 pounds but have a lot more to lose. The last month I have plateaued - no weight loss at all. How long should a person be on this medication? ## You can be on Belviq indefinitely. If you have not had any weight loss in a month you might try increasing your exercise or asking your Physician if you can temporarily add Phentermine to get you over this hurdle. ## Thanks Sherie! I go to the doc on Monday and will ask about the phen. With the cost of Belviq I can't continue indefinitely anyway?? ## In addition to the helpful advice Sherie provided, I just wanted to note that sometimes drastic goals call for drastic lifestyle changes in more than 1 area...whereas increasing exercise may only be a single ingredient within a larger...
I can no longer afford Belviq and I was wondering when I finish my last bottle, will I gain my weight back? I exercise and eat right but have alot of anxiety that I will gain that weight back. ## Belviq with the discount coupon is only $75 per month. If you can prove the need Eisai has a website and the prescription can be free. Just google belviq patient resources and you should be able to find it. Just keep in mind that it is about calories in and calories out so you can do it. ## Good luck on your journey through weight loss, Lulu! I know it can seem like a hard fought battle, but I believe you can achieve your desired results if you continue setting your mind to it! From personal experience undergoing a similar journey I can't say whether or not you will eventually gain your wei...
I am 73 years old. Just starting AMPHETA S/COMBO 5MG TAB BARR today. Would like to know how it has affected other seniors (60-older). What can I look for? ## jimmie 300 if you type in ampheta s combo on your search engine it will give you the medical information on the med. I looked it up, what did they prescribe it to you for? looks like it can be useful for several things. Just remember as we get older we do have different reactions to meds, so just be aware of this. ## Hello, Jimmie! How are you? And thank you for the post Karen, you are correct. The main different with medications used in seniors is they may experience more side effects, because their bodies are more sensitive to many medications. Thus, you may experience more nervousness, dizziness, headache, irritability and weigh...

its a dominican diet pill please help me find it ## I recently purchased Delganex diet pills from a friend who went to D.R. I was wondering when is the best time during the day to take them. So far I've taken them in the morning before breakfast. Is it better maybe in the afternoon so it may last at its peak for the rest of the day and night? Thanks ## This actually contains the prescription medication Sibutramine, commonly sold in the U.S. under the brand name Meridia. It is an appetite suppressant. Since it is related to Amphetamines, it is generally not recommended to be taken at night, because it can cause insomnia. This really should not be used without the approval and supervision of your doctor. Was this prescribed or did you just order it? ## any one knows where in the us I c...
