Can I use both Diclofenac (tablet) and Voltaren (gel) safely at the same time for back pain?

No, they both contain the same active ingredient, Diclofenac, so you should only use one or the other.

The FDA warns that these gels could cause side effects, such as skin redness, irritation. flaking, burning, and headache.
