Diarrhea With Miralax

I was just told by my gastroenterologist to start taking miralax. I have taken it for two days and I now have diarrhea. Is this normal when you first start taking it?

Yes, that can be a normal side effect, according to the FDA, since this is a stool softener. Other side effects may include nausea, bloating, and cramping.
