Will the diarrhea stop after being on viibryd for awhile?

Hi, Ruth! That can certainly be an annoying side effect.

And yes, it should go away after about 4 to 6 weeks, once your body has gotten used to the medication. If it doesn't, or if it becomes severe, then you should consult your doctor immediately.

In the meantime, as long as you're not on any fluid restrictions or been told by your doctor not to do so, you may want to add a little extra water each day to prevent dehydration.

Other side effects may include nausea and insomnia.

What about if the first time you take Viibryd and immediately start vomiting and continuous painful diarrhea with horrible stomach pain? I was afraid to even take anymore...still dealing with stomach pain and diarrhea.
