Dexedrine Question (Top voted first)

So I've been on adderrall or vyvanse for some years now and I seem to have an incredible tolerance. My question is to anyone who has tried both and which one worked better. If dex does are the doctors Leary in giving it out and is it as hard or harder to find pharmacies that have it? Thanks for any feedback

There is a sham going on with generic stimulants.

I'm using meds for ADHD and bouts of narcolepsy--50 years. I have an issue going on, appealing to the FDA re: a pure sugar pill labeled "Amphetamine tartrate" which is garbage and illegal being the ingredient in Adderal ER.

re: Vyvanase, Strattera, Concerta --- these are NOT FOR ADHD. Dexedrine IR is what I was taking for more than 30 yrs. Made me feel normal. Teva Barr is the best generic. They stopped distributing.Pharmacist gave me Aurobindo --- HORRIBLE. No focus -- no motivation -- just agitation.

I changed Pharmacy, was given 40 mg of Generic Dex. packaged under name Generic for Zenzedi. I became a zombie. I am in the process of looking for another Dex IR generic. This is a brutal sabotage by Pharma. Brand is the best but can be mimicked by a good generic.

Remember that the ER take a while to work.(never for me), so I must have IR. Don't be fooled by the amount of terminology and chemical structures in the guidelines.

Adderal and Dextro are either IR or ER. the Brands can cost $800.00 per month.

Yes I have tried both. Vyvanse seems to kick in much slower (2-3 hours) and last for too long a time.
The vyvanse is probably best suited to introductory use. Children would probably benefit from this as the dosing times are very easy to learn and the drugs is probably the least abuseable in the bunch.

With adderall the tablets are much different than the capsules. The tablets do not last as long as the capsules. It seems that most people can adjust to this during their early years in a university/college.

The older "dexedrine spansules" are a bit rough around the edges, but sometimes they offer the best overall response.

again it is a trial by fire issue. Some people like coke some like pepsi...

It really depends on which one works best for you. The FDA warns that these medications carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, insomnia, and anorexia.

Which one have you had the best luck using? Most pharmacies carry both, though they usually have a limited supply.

My doc could no longer write Addo he gave me. Vyvanse. Not only didn't it d anything, my copay was almost $200.
I just started using a new doctor why wrote the script. The Pharmacy filled it with pale yellow ones. So much better than that crap vyvanse but not nearly as good as my old orange ones. Going to speak to hi
