Desval Er Side Effects
UpdatedI've been taking this medicine known as Desval Er 250 mg for the past 3 months every night. Is it safe to get pregnant while taking this medicine?

Deval ER contains the active ingredient Divalproex Sodium, also known as Valproate Semisodium.
It is not safe to take while you are pregnant, but it does not prevent you from getting pregnant, so yes, you still need to use some form of contraception.
You can still get pregnant while taking this and it can cause severe birth defect to the child.
I have been taking Desval ER 500 for more than 2 years now. Since the last 3-4 months, I have noticed dizziness whenever I sit after a night's sleep or when I lie down from sitting position. Is this a side effect from this medication or is something else going on?
