Desperate Horrible Migraines

Updated September 10, 2017

I have been having severe migraines for decades. My family doctor, neurologist or any other specialist has not been successful to take care of my migraines. Darvocet used to be the only thing that would ward off a migraine. I have an appointment with a pain/rehabilitation Dr in 9 days. Out of desperation I had some Darvocet left and over a three-day period I took the last 10 of them as they had been prescribed for me years ago. I need to know if there could possibly be a trace of Darvocet in my urine drug test 9 days after I took my last Darvocet?

I've had migraines for years and we have finally found the right drug. Everybody's different and what works for one person doesn't necessarily mean it will work for another. The name of the med. is Naratriptan, brand name Amerge 2.5 mg. It helps my husband's migraines, too. It's not just a "band-aid" like a pain pill....it goes to the source. There are no narcotics in it whatsoevewr. You might want to mention it to your neurologist and see what he/she thinks. They can also be helped with nerve ablations but you have to go to an advanced pain management doctor too receive that treatment. Most "regular" pain doctors don't do the more comples pfrocedures. We're going to try this method soon. Good luck. Waudet
