Depadote 500mg

I am taking 500mg Sepakote. I have schizoaffective disorder. My doctor thinks that I have mood disorder. He prescribed me Depakote. I am taking it for 10months now. But I have more and more ansiety and irritation. I want to reduce it. But my doctor refuse. He warns me that all theI am se symptoms will be worst. If it is decreased. What shall I do?
I am afraid also about the withdrawal symptom.

Finaly I conviced my psychiatrist to reduce the 500mg Depakote to 250mg. But he is telling me that I will have irritability, agitation, mania and other behavior changes. I siad I will try. If there is a problem i will take again 500mg. Other thatn Depakote I am taking zyprexa 25mg and risprdal 5mg. I am so terrified of this changes. But I will try. I think all these behvior changes were do to celexa in the past. But he thinks I have mood disorder
with the schizoaffective disorder. I hope it will be ok?

Those can be side effects of this medication, as reported by the FDA, along with nausea, dizziness, headache, balance issues, cloudy urine and cold sweats.

However, your doctor cannot force you to take any medication and you are also free, at any time, to consult another doctor to get another opinion.

Have you been working with a specialist or just your primary care physician?
