Demand That Chronic Pain Sufferers Get Their Pain Medication Now!

Hi,

I just started a petition on Care2: Demand that chronic pain sufferers get their medications now!!. I'm hoping that if enough people sign my petition, we can make a difference. Right now I've got 10 signatures " will you help me collect more by adding your name, and then sharing it with others?

Hi valerie,

Thank you for taking the time out to start a petition about this. For those who don't understand the battle that chronic pain sufferers are going through, there's a lot that has to be taken into account with things the way they are.

Lately, the focus of the media has been on addicts and how to impede their access to the same controlled substances that legitimate patients require for relief. The problem this creates is that everyone filling their Rx is now a suspicious candidate for being an addict, making prescribers less lenient and pharmacies more strict about filling what your doctor already gave you.

At some point though, we have to draw a line. This is where your signatures come into play.

I was so impressed with your petition. I followed the link to sign and it has been closed down. Were you aware that your petition was shut down. I was disappointed because I was so excited to see someone was trying to do something about a situation that is affecting so many chronic pain patients.

Isa there a 2018 petition we can all sign. For Gods sake we all need help.. The compliant sufferers who need the correct medication back Dea needs to be realistic and stop punishing the innocent... I need help we all need help here. Let's all fight badck NOW

You know I'm with everyone else that's in chronic pain. What I am getting ready to say is pretty much the same song that everyone else is singing. It's just not fair! We all are in constant pain and they the freakin law makers just don't give a crap. If you say anything about the medications that just going to assume oh your an addict and then take all your pain meds away . Like some other people say if the people start taking to much and overdose that's their problem. Don't make the ones that need it for everyday chronic pain suffer for their stupidity. I also am in chronic pain from disc degenerative disease and bone spurs and my pain meds are the only way for me to function in life. My doctors have already been cutting me down on my meds. Thank the lord I had some saved up or I would be in more pain than I already in. I mean as you all probably know the meds don't take the pain away completely they just take the edge off where you can try and go on with your daily lives. If they take us off our meds heck we might as well not be living because we sure want feel like living anyways. I just wish the law makers would quit making our lives so miserable and leave the health issues up to the doctors.

Another 2014 petition. Why are the posts so old being sent to our emails to only be disappointed that it is old and also closed? Please delete or put them in the order they belong. This was 2014. If I could put a proper petition together I would. I am not very good at proper wording for it being so important. I am happy to share and share and reshare a petition.

You did an outstand job explaining out problems we need to hit everyone we can, to get help and stop the government from interfering with our meds and doctors who were doing their job with concern and care. I am in so much pain after they took almost all of my medications and completely took the one that allowed me to walk. I want to bring up another sic point. I am a senior citizen who needs a good PCP... well guess what they do not want to take me as they treat me like an addict as soon as I say Percocet.. they drop the questions and go into a I do not give pain med and I say I never ever consider asking for help for my chronic pain.. I am sick of being treated as an addict. They are all bias and not decent doctors wenh they turn on you like that.. Who else has the issue????

By giving access to our Legitimate Meds to addicts, The FDA-DEA have made all Chronic Pain Patients with legit Scripts to pharmacies, be treated like addicts! Correct this please! We are Social Security Disabled adults and protected by that act!

We have been forgotten! All of us LEGITIMATE CHRONIC PAIN PATIENTS I managed pain Mgmt for decades relying on our pain med after exhausting EVERY surgery & treatment we endured without success...DIAGNOSIS: FAILED BACK SYNDROME, Arachnoiditus(scar tissue growth surrounding spine/nerves post surgeries, injections) Fybromyalgia, unrepaiable nerves, etc, etc...we have been discarded back to wheelchairs. We did not ever abuse our meds...we are being abused by those who have chosen to abuse the meds yet we suffer due to the bad apples! FDA, DEA, Gov’t agencies their “guidelines” !! They must address the needs of those of us our meds were made for...to comfort us to at least a tolerable life existence. Sad Gov’t has even gone to the extreme measures to deny accurate as needed pain med relief to Cancer victims! THIS MUST BE ADDRESSED! Praying someone in CONGRESS will propose a bill to address the needs of LEGITIMATE CHRONIC PAIN PATIENTS NON-ACUTE & ACUTE NATIONWIDE!
