Delaying Prolia Injection
UpdatedI had a tooth extraction. Can I delay my Prolia injection by one month?

It would be best to discuss it with your doctor, and follow their instructions. The concern is that medications like Prolia have been known to cause osteonecrosis of the jaw, so proper dental care, and maintaining good dental hygiene while taking it are very important.
Was your dentist aware that you are on it?
The FDA lists other typical side effects as possibly including nausea, back ache, muscle aches, rapid weight gain, and swollen glands in the neck.
Are you on any other medications?
Do not take Prolia if you do not want to loose all of your teeth. I now have none of my natural teeth and in the middle of implants which is extremely expensive. Dentures are not working because of bone disfigurement. I always took care of my teeth and went to the dentist every 6 months. Three dentist have told me that Prolia caused my teeth loss and I believe it. They just started breaking off at the gum line. I am so upset over the whole mess. Wish I could recover all of the expense that I am out with the implants. So far, it has been over $30,000. I have also experienced hair loss. It is a poison drug to me.
