Delaying Period With Lo Loestrin Fe
(Newest replies first)

I am currently on Lo Loestrin Fe and I want to delay my period (in anticipation of going on a religious pilgrimage). My doctor started me on the pills 2 months early so that my body can adjust to them and I experienced spotting during the 2nd week of my first pack for 8 days and then everything seemed normal. However, when it came to the end of the pack, my doctor instructed my to take the white pills and skip only the brown pills and on the second day of the white pill (before starting on a new pack), I had light bleeding. When I travel for the pilgrimage in a month, I want to make sure NO bleeding happens whatsoever - does this mean that for the next pack, I should skip all the 4 white AND brown pills and start a new pack?

I am just getting ready to start these for the first time today and wanted to find out about how long it takes till you are able to skip a period? I am going on vacation for 3 weeks in September and do not want to worry about it while I am gone.
I'm so confused too. I am having the same issue. Did u figure it out?
I want to skip my period I have read to skip both white and brown pills to do so and then I have read to just skip the brown in confused on what I should do here please help
you need to continuously take the active pills, by just skipping the inactive ones
I'm on lo loestrin fe the 28 day pack... If I want to delay my period do I skip the white(active pills) and brown(reminder pills) and just start another pack or just skip them and not take any pills until it's time to start my new pack.
I've tried to delay my period with Lo Loestrin by immediately switching to a new pack when all of the active pills were gone; however, it didn't work...and I got my period anyway. It was even slightly heavier than usual, which was odd.
I used to be on Seasonale and Seasonique, so I know my body will allow it. I'm going to try it again this week, so we shall see.
Good luck.
Yes, you'd have to completely skip all the inactive tablets that would induce menstruation to occur.

However, since you are still new to taking them, breakthrough bleeding may still occur and there is no way to ensure that it doesn't.
