Im on 50mcg patch wanting to cut down to 25 mcg. Have the non liquid patch. Cutting the patch in half. Withdrawl for me feel like a bad case of flu with some nausea w headache.
How long should it take me to adjust
to lower dose. I know its safe to cut non liquid patch but I caution any one trying to cut liquid patch. I will give tips on another post. Can anyone commenton witdrawal time. Should I try to take more oxy 10mg I also have to ease withdrawl ? Thanks for comments. Joe

Hello, Joe! How are you?

No, it is not safe to cut any of these patches, since they all use some form of time release in the patch itself to control how much of the medication you get, at once.

If you wish to lower your dose, please speak to your doctor so they can prescribe the lower dose patches.

And the withdrawal effects and duration are highly individualized, so the set way to do so and to minimize them is something you should also discuss with your doctor.

But usually going from one dose to the lower will take anywhere from one to two weeks for your body to adjust.

Is there anything else I can help with?
