I can't believe they took darvocet off the market because people abuse and over used it. Even aspirin is toxic work over use!!! The drs did not force you to take them around the clock!!! ## Hi! I'm sorry you're upset! However, that's not actually why Darvocet was removed from the market. It contained Propoxyphene and Acetaminophen and it was found that Propoxyphene and its relatives were cardio toxic. Compared to its very low level of efficacy, it was was deemed that the benefits were not greater than the possible risk and that's why it was pulled from the market. That is how any medication is evaluated, the benefits must outweigh the possible risks for it to be deemed acceptable for human use. Learn more Darvocet details here. There are other options available that ...

Why aren't we fighting for out rights as patients? The FDA was pressured by PUBLIC CITIZEN. www.citizen.org is their website. Supposedly a non profit group looking out for our rights as citizens. Who are these people, I do not have a clue who they are, making my medical decisions for me???? Pretty scary isn't it???? ## Actually, the reason Propoxyphene was removed was due to the fact that it is cardiotoxic and this was medically proven. Therefore, there was no one agency that caused it to be removed from the market, it was cumulative scientific and medical proof of the dangers it caused. Are there any other comments or questions? ## I'd rather have a "citizen group" concerned about safety pressuring the FDA (which I don't believe had anything to do with this) tha...

Will thhis pill interact with darvocet pr anyything else like amphetimine salts ## Hello, The pill in description is Baclofen (10 mg); which is primarily used to treat spasticity (muscle spasm). My findings state that there are potentially unsafe interactions that apply to Baclofen and Darvocet (propoxyphene). Quoted below are the precautions you should be aware of: "Using propoxyphene together with baclofen may increase side effects such as dizziness, drowsiness, confusion, difficulty concentrating, and other nervous system or mental effects. Some people, especially the elderly, may also experience impairment in thinking, judgment, and coordination. You should take propoxyphene exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Do not take larger doses or use the drug more frequently than presc...

I found a bottle of pills cleaning my grandmothers house without a label. They are oblong (football shaped), white, manufacturers logo is R with a crescent moon underneath, and the back is A 302. I have searched every pill identifying website and cannot find this pill anywhere. I was told it may be Darvocet, which is no longer sold in the US. But I can't find proof that's what they are. I would just like to know that they aren't anything important before I flush them. ## Hello, I'm also having trouble finding a match for the pill you are describing, but I believe that the manufacturer may be Activis Pharmaceuticals. Their pills often have a fancy "R" imprint or a crescent moon symbol. Click this link to be directed to the contact page of their website: actavis.co...

Had all the paperwork filed with a law firm, just to get declined for my fathers suit against the darvocet... I cannot find a lawyer to represent us.. my dad took this pill for 35 years. We have all the paperwork etc we need for the suit. Can anyone help me with this?? I know its goin up to the courts in nov. but we have had the paperwork filed for 3 years... xxxxx@xxx {edited for privacy} ## What reason did they give for declining to include him in the suit? There is always a certain burden of proof that must be met, in order to substantiate ones claims that health issues were caused by a certain medication. Learn more Darvocet details here. The fact that he took it for that long is not enough to give him a valid claim against the manufacturers.

what is this pill equivelant a? ## Well, since it was a generic for Darvocet, which contains 100mgs of Propoxyphene and 650mgs of Acetaminophen, there really isn't much it would be considered equivalent to. It is an extremely mild, opiate narcotic analgesic that was pulled from the market, when it was discovered that the risks it caused of cardiac dangers far outweighed the slight analgesic effects that it provided. Learn more Dextropropoxyphene details here. Learn more Acetaminophen details here. Where did you find it?
