Does The Drug Amox Tr K Clv Cause Severs Headaches

I have been using the medication for 5 days now to treat sinus infection and have developed a severe pain that starts in the back right side of my head when I cough. It is a extremely sharp pain. Is it caused by the medication.

Hi Paul,

Based on my research, headaches are listed as a general side effect of Amoxicillin. I wasn't aware of how severe they could be though. If it's too bothersome I'd definitely urge you to contact your doctor as soon as possible to find a solution. He/she may have you switch over to another antibiotic in the meantime. How many days are you prescribed it for?

To my understanding, most antibiotics are only taken for around 7-10 days, depending on the severity of the infection. If you only have a day or two left, would you try to wait it out?
