Do Not Take Mirtazapine
(Newest replies first)

I was put on mirtazapine due to weight loss and am coming off it. IT is a difficult drug to come off and I am going through hell. They do not tell you what will happen if you decide to want to come off them because in their eyes you are not supposed to come off.
so be wary before taking them I wish I had not

What Verwon says is true. Although some things are easier to quit taking than others. I wanted to reply cause I too quit taking Mirtazapine. It was soon after I started taking it so it was kind of easy. Don't know if it was coincidence or what but my ears start ringing the day after my first dose. Are you experiencing any ringing?
I'm sorry about the problems you are experiencing.
However, it is well known that our bodies will get used to anything that we ingest on a regular basis, for a long period of time and will react if such a substance is suddenly withdrawn.
How are you stopping it?
Have you done a gradual taper?
That is usually the best way to do so, to prevent the worst of the withdrawal/rebound effects.
You can learn more Mirtazapine details here.
Sometimes, a doctor will have you gradually lower the dosage, but a newer method is to start skipping dosing days.
