It is, more than likely, the fault of the type of test that their new lab is doing, especially if the switch was done, because the new lab is cheaper, which means they are using a cheaper type of test.
The cheaper a test is can mean the more often it registers false positives.
Methadone is a synthetic opiate and on the cheaper, less accurate tests, it has been known to cause false positives for other synthetic opiates, such as Oxycodone.
