Cystitis Treatment While On Blood Thinners
UpdatedFollowing a pulmonary embolism two weeks ago, I was put on Rivaroxaban (Xarelto) 15mg twice daily for eighteen days and after that 20mg once daily. For the last week, I have had painful cystitis. Online information warns that my usual cystitis medication of Trimethoprim should not be used. Please can anyone suggest an antibiotic which is safe to use in combination with the blood thinner?
