Cymgen Insomnia And Nocturia
UpdatedI have been on Cymgen for 3 months now. First on 60mg in morning and now reduced to 30mg at night. I have started weeing 3-4 times per night although I haven't had anything to drink for hours. I also have a lot of acid. AND Insomnia !! Will it help if I take it in the mornings maybe ?

Then you will have daytime sleepiness. Get off this drug if you can. It is not the right one for you and the side effects are not good for you.
If you are female, no one will have sympathy with you for not sleeping because it will be assumed to be due to menopause. They will blame you if you are fat or if you had bad "bedtime Hygeine".Not one thing I tried worked except cyclobenzaprine (Flexeril) 10MG or 1 MG klonopin to sleep. Finally I could fall asleep but wake up four hours later. It took many years to find out I have fibromyalgia and the pain was waking me up. See a nephrologist about your kidneys and maybe have a urodynamic test done but don't get involved with the endless supply of test, drugs and sleeping supplies like C-PAP they will try to sell you. It may also qualify you for disability. Poor quality of sleep makes you a hazard on the road, crabby around your family and late for your job. It is a problem and you might have family members that get up at night. If you rx has hctz in it it is intentionally designed to make you pee. I ended up in "diapers" or at least a pad.

Based on my research the following symptoms are listed as potential side effects of Cymgen (duloxetine):
• heartburn (to my knowledge this is commonly associated with acid reflux)
• increased urination
• difficulty urinating
• sweating or night sweats

I can't say for sure whether or not taking it in the morning will help. But if you have the flexibility to change things up with the timing of your dosage, then I would definitely consider trying it in the morning instead. Also, if it's of any help with the acid reflux, I'd recommend eating a lot more fresh fruit and/or dark leafy greens, since they help promote a more alkaline environment within your body.
