Cymgen 60

The dr prescribed me cymgen and I am very afraid of gaining weight as I already struggle with my weight. Is there anything I can do to ensure that I dont gain weight?

Cymgen contains the active ingredient Duloxetine, which is an SNRI antidepressant and while this class of medications is known to cause some weight gain, it is usually not significant. That's why they are chosen, by many doctors, over the SSRI class, for patients with weight issues.

As to making certain you don't gain any, there are a few things you can try that may help.

One is to keep track of your eating habits, since this effects brain chemicals, it is highly possible that it could cause your appetite to become increased, which could result in your eating more food than you actually need. Thus, you should try to keep the size of your meals and snacks at a normal, reasonable level.

And the second is to keep active. Make sure you are getting proper exercise, every day.
