Cymbalta 60mg Best Generic?
UpdatedNeeding to switch from name brand cymbalta 60 mg to generic. Does anyone know the best generic? When I tried yrs ago it felt like it wasn't doing anything.

I find all generics of Cymbalta useless. I pay more for the original Eli Lilly brand name. I have been using Cymbalta since my second lumbar spine laminectomy in 2005.
Not every medication works for everyone that tries it, and that includes generics.
As to your feeling like it didn't do anything, how long did you take it?
Most medications like this take about 4 to 6 weeks to reach their full level of efficacy in your body, so you do have to take them for awhile to see if it will begin to help you.
The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, mood changes, and weight changes.

Thanks! The way I knew it didn't work is I'd been on name brand a long time & after one wk on generic my fibro pain & depression returned.

Thanks so much ! I agree. Tried generic before & was hoping it had gotten better, guess not. Will be trying to source best name price. Patient loses.
