Cyclobenzaprine 10 Mg With Methocarbamol 500 Mg

I am prescribed cyclobenzaprine 10 mg for muscle spasms. I recently strained my rhomboid muscle and went to the ER and they prescribed methocarbamol 500 mg. Can they be taken together?

These are both muscle relaxants, so it is usually best to stick with just taking one, to avoid the possibility of overdose.

The FDA warns that taking too much of this class of medications could result in nausea, dizziness, severe drowsiness, shallow breathing, and possibly respiratory failure, which may be fatal.
