Cutting Non-gel Patch
UpdatedIve been given the Fentanyl patch made by Aviva by my local pharmacy. Before this ive always gotten the Gel filled brand. The Aviva brand are causing side effects as you may have read in my previous post.I called my Pharmacy and told them about this and they said Every brand of Fentanyl patch is differant and this type is probably too strong an i may need to reduce the strength per my next doctor visit.I was curious if i could just cut these in half an see if it helps?Any replies would be appreciated.

Yes, it seems there are some that are safe to cut, but you should never do so, without checking with your pharmacist, first.
The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
Is there anything else I can help with?
