Cut Time Released On Accident

I accidentally cut my morphine minute time release while holding it between my teeth until I can get in the kitchen and get some water while I swallowed the 2 pills do I have to be worried that I cut in half a morphine Time released in half

Hello, Nay nay! How are you? Did you experience any adverse effects or problems?

Cutting or breaking them may defeat the time release mechanism and could cause you to get all of the medication, at once, which could result in overdose, if a person isn't opiate tolerant.

The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
