Coversyl Effect And Bp Readings

Updated September 18, 2021

I take Coversyl for high blood pressure. In the mornings my BP is usually around 137 over 96. In the evenings it has consistently been around 106 over 77. Why such a difference? I take the Coversyl in the mornings, would it stop having an effect after 24 hours?

Is your morning check done, before you take your medication, or before it has a chance to start working? If so, that would explain it being slightly higher in the mornings.

A different evening reading can be explained by your activity, diet, other medications you may be taking, and etc.

It is normal for it to fluctuate throughout the day, you will not really ever get readings that are consistently the same.

You can learn more here from the AHA. (American Heart Association)

Are you on any other medications? Do you drink anything with caffeine?
