Corex Cough Syrup Long Term Addiction (Page 2)

Hello, I am addicted to Corex cough syrup since last 13/14 years.on month of january 11 i have suddenly get abnormanal fits/seizer in my left hand only then after consult with our family doctor(M D), i have taken Clonafit Plus but after 2 month taking it regularly have stopped it without any consult, then i have attacked again so i consult with a Neurologist, and he recommend me to take Zenoxa 300, with Rejunex Plus. but again i consult with the same doctor with previous doctor's prescription then he again prescribed me to take Zenoxa 300 with Clonafit Plus with Rejunex Plus. and now i feel some better but i want to know is my disease is fully cureable ?

Corex itself it's a Medicine overdose of which may lead to Liver Abuse and Kidney overworking that leads to severe Kidney Damage....if you love your life, please leave this bad habit and My close relative was having this habit but At the age of 46 He had Multi Organs Failure as of Overdose of Corex 5 to 8 100ml Bottles P/D....

i am taking 2-3 bottle corex 100ml perday since 9th years.now i have many problems in my body orgain.

Just leave it
No big problem
But eat 1dzn banana every day
Some pain killer if required
And alprex.25or .5 my at evening if u feel sad.

Hello everyone...... Ms. hema let me tell you that you need not worry and don't panic .... The more you panic and feel depressed, the more you'll go deeper with this habit.. we have many ways to tackle this addiction..... Even I was like you only some years before, but now I'm a changing personality and character....

Those who really want to quit follow my steps. thrice i got into addiction of three different items and thrice i quit by following these methods:

1) mark a day from when u want stop ....preferably if u are working continuous holidays of more than four; if u r not working then no worry...

2) Before the day u want to quit u do what ever u want to quit....coz mentally u r over awed and physically it makes u sleep for more then a day. that means u haven't done it for one day.

3) Now the 2 & 3rd day will be the hardest of all because physically ur body has to prepare for the withdrawal and mentally u need to fill the gap of the stuff u usually fill ur mind with....

4) Do not go out of ur house because when u go out u will search for the stuff. instead never get out of ur bedroom....

5) Every forced withdrawal will have some sort of stomach issues such as diarrhea, vomiting ....Eat only fruits and drink juice or drink glucose. Another thing is keeping ur mind away from going into that .....to quit my first i bought a psp and kept on playing games and for my second i bought a super bike coz i love driving so to drive a super bike which can go up to 240 km/h u have to be clean else u will be dead ....Create a situation like this because if u are not clean u will loose something valuable.

For my third i went into a good hotel which offers 24 hour services and locked myself in there for four days continuously watching tv or surfing the net they provide...

In the fourth day ur body will adjust to normal conditions though your mind will not....Insomnia is a most important problem to overcome. To overcome that do what u like most till to feel sleepy. It will also help to distract ur mind away from the drug... If u didn't touch it for one week then it means u have succeeded 50%. To achieve the 100% u have to stay that way for three months then u are free....Sometimes i will achieve 50 but fail to reach 100%. the road to victory cannot be in the first time. sometimes it will take 2, 3, 4, even 5 attempts.... As the number of attempts increase a new confidence will come to u that u can get rid of the drugs.

Stay clean, do not go for an alternative or eventually u will be addicted to that...the chance is 100% u will be addicted to that....coz our brain is conditioned that way once we got addicted..

Go somewhere where u have relatives and stay 5-6 days there, and see the result. I am sure u will leave this bad habit.

I have been addicted to corex for 6 years and it all started when I was trying to get rid of my addiction of spasmo proxyvon. Now I'm taking a bottle of corex everyday and smoke marijuana whenever taking corex. I'm living by myself in an apartment for the last five years as I don't want my family to know about my addiction. I want to start over again but find it very hard to face reality as I have wasted 15 years to addiction and did not even complete my college or ever had the ambition to be or do anything. Right now I'm doing nothing but sleeping, eating twice a day and taking a bottle of corex everyday. I'm 33 and want to have a family and work hard.

I was drinking corex cough syrup continuously for about 8 years, 6 to 7 bottles everyday. My hands and body use to shiver a lot; after a high dosage i was unable to write anything on paper. It was the worst condition but fortunately now its been 3 years since i have stopped drinking cough syrup, but the problem is - still sometimes i feel like i will get tremors and shivering in my body. I dont shiver but psychologically it comes to my mind that i will shiver, so bcuz of that i feel nervous to stand still for long. For e.g., in a bank line waiting for my number. I have discussed this problem with many doctors but nothing worked out and now i feel distressed and sad. I'm very helpless and dont know what to do. Please for God sake help me someone... Plz give me some advice or something.

I was taking 3 to 4 bottles per day for the last 3 years. Now a days, I am free from this bad habit, and feeling very fresh. I use Utratab as a pain killer, Etilam 0.5mg for a mood stabilizer and Tritin 0.5.

(1) CENTRA P - for painkiller
(2) Etilam 0.25mg - mood stabilizer
(3) Titin - for sneezing

Bro better but afeem, I used the drink 4-5 sheeshi daily. Then I started Corex + Carisoprodol and then finally progressed to Corex + Nitrosunn. I'm the end I decided to leave and for that afeem is the best solution. May you be also able to leave your addiction
