Contrimoxazole is a common misspelling for what's known as "Co-trimoxazole".

Active Ingredients:
-Sulfamethoxazole
-Trimethoprim

Drug Class:
Antibiotic / Sulfonamides

Indications:
Used to treat or prevent certain bacterial infections, including but not limited to: pneumonia, bronchitis, urinary tract, ears, G.I., etc.

Brands:
Bactrim, Sulfatrim, and Bactrim DS

Availability:
Prescription needed

How it works:
By stopping the growth of bacteria

NOTE: Antibiotics do not kill viruses that can cause colds, flu, or other viral infections.
