Contrave And Depression

I have been on Contrave for 2 weeks and have lost 11 pounds. I don't want to get out of bed. I feel like blah. I don't even want to do the things I used to enjoy. It takes all I have to do what I have to so I can take care of my kids. I don't want to stop taking it because I'm losing so much weight. Will this feeling go away??

Yes, it can cause depression in some people that take it, as listed by the FDA, along with nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, nervousness and insomnia.

You should inform your doctor, there are other medications that you can take for weight loss and you may need to stop this one.

Are you on any other medications?

Same reaction here. Can may want to try Qysmia but that can make up jittery especially at the high doses.

Can I take Percocet with contrave? I have an abscess tooth and Tylenol or ibuprofen aren't even touching it. If not are there any safe pain meds I can take?

Jennifer, you do not have to tAke any pill to loose weight. To tell you and everyone out there. ITS WHAT YOU EAT!! Do not eat any processed food. DO not eat any grains, Do not eat sugar!!! You will loose weight!!! Easy. If u wNt to loose more take out all milk products!!! Grains inflame your body. You will also feel So Much better! If u have back pain or pain in your joints, that will go away also. You have to stick to it though. Every day. Me and my daughters do this. My daughter s are to skinny now and me, I lost 20 lbs in only a few months!!! It really works.basically, eat meat, vegetables and fruits. No pre made food. Good luck! Be heLthy for your children! Feed this to ur kids to. Its much better for them, AAmother
