Contrave And Effexor

My doctor put me on Effexor for hot flashes and other symptoms associated with menopause. Can this be taken with Contrave?

No, it is generally not recommend that they be taken together, due to the risk of seizures, and serotonin syndrome, according to FDA warnings.

Is your doctor aware that you have been prescribed both of these medications?
