Continued Numbness In Feet & Ankles After Discontinuing Savella

A few years ago I tried taking Savella for my fibro pain after having no success with all the other meds on the market. I suffered through a lot of different side effects, ie tremors, lack of appetite, sleeplessness. But I was desperate as my pain was was great and didn't want to have to take pain meds as that would be against my employers drug policy. I started vomiting but I have chronic GI issues and didn't correlate this as another side effect of Savella. After escalating periods of vomiting or dry heaves and 3 days of not being able to eat or drink was hospitalized for a week for an unknown disease. All GI test results were normal therefore was released from hospital. As I was only given medications in IV form my body cleansed itself from most of my medications. Rheumatologist confirmed all the issues I had were side effects from Savella. Almost immediately both feet & ankles started to go numb and ached terribly and at times even the weight of a bed sheet could cause tears. The problem continues today and standing or walking is very painful. I am now being told I have nerve damage with some nerves not reacting to electrical stimuli. Has anyone else experienced nerve damage from the use of Savella?

i just started on savalla after a nightmare with cymbalta. right away i noticed pain and swelling in both ankles but far worse on the right ankle. on day 10 of use i saw dr. who said it wasn't from savella yet it started at the same time with no injury to either ankle. time will tell i suppose
