It is an antibiotic, so it may help. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.

However, if you're getting them frequently, the best thing to do would be to see your doctor, so they can culture the bacteria,
to discover the precise bacteria that's causing them and prescribe the appropriate treatment.
