Concerta, Major Depressive Disorder And Medical Excreter

I've been on a trial of Concerta for major depressive disorder as anti-depressants alone don't work. I've gone through 26 rounds of ECT (electric shock therapy) which didn't help and being diagnosed as a medical excreter Concerta has been then only thing that has lasted long enough and helped me function.
Originally I was on Ritalin, but I hated the roller coaster effects it had on me. I'd be hyper which would last for about 1-2 hours then drop dramatically, then the process would happen another 2 times as I was on 60mg a day which I would take in 20mg does 3 times a day.
Eventually I was put onto Concerta 54mg once a day which was better.
I've been on Concerta coming up to 4 years and am noticing a decline, however I have recently been changed to Brintellix, after a short period on Edronax, previous to that, Dothep; so possibly the Concerta may be effected due to this change.
I'm wondering if anyone else is on Concerta for the same reasons and what their experience is like with it? How long you've been on it? What effects your having? When it stopped working for you? If there are any other diagnosed medical excreters?
