UpdatedWhat is the proper way to stop taking Prazosin? Can you just stop cold turkey? What are the side effects of quitting this drug?

Why were you taking it? If it was to treat high blood pressure, or a cardiac condition, then it might not be safe for you to stop taking it, since the FDA warns that stopping it could cause dangerously elevated levels to your blood pressure, and heart rate.
Generally, a very slow taper is best. Your prescriber should be able to help you discover a timeline that works best for you.
Are you on any other medications? Why do you want to stop taking it?
