Coming Off Lithium Due To Chronic Kidney Disease

I'm probably going to have to come off of lithium due to chronic kidney disease. Guess what? I can't. I'm absolutely terrified of the consequences. I've been on lithium since 1987. The doctors told me it's the only thing that works for me. I'm not going to take a chance of becoming manic ever again. It ruined my life several times. I've had a lot of adverse reactions to medications. I especially don't trust new mood stabilizers. Mood stabilizers and antipsychotics are some of the meditations that I had an adverse reaction to. I'm afraid that a new mood stabilizer will make things worse. Can I stay on lithium throughout chronic kidney disease? I'm petrified of the whole situation.

I was hoping for a reply to coming of lithium due to chronic kidney disease. People were very helpful and kind to me in the past. I don’t see much light in my situation it looks like a dark road. Every time I posted something there was always someone here that showed me the way. I hope you’re still out there because I’m not feeling good about my situation. I know that other people are struggling. My good friend that passed away told me to keep the faith. I’m trying. I hope you keep the faith. Thank You
