Hi,

I was given Invega Sustenna at 100mg a month for 10 months since Dec 5th. My last shot was on August 29th 2013.

The medication gave me severe anhedonia and I have lost the motivation and willpower to do anything. I can no longer experience joy, happiness, or pleasure from anything I do and I have no interest in doing anything. I constantly feel restless and uneasy and I just can't shake this feeling away no matter what. All of these started about a week after my first IV.

I have been off this medication for almost 3 months now and I have yet to feel any improvements. I have read that it has a long half life of 25-49 days and that it can stay in your body for 300 days. So does that mean I will have to wait a year to start feeling better?

Any info on someone who has been off this med would be greatly appreiciated. I am interested to learn how many months it takes to feel better after invega sustenna.

2 years is a long time, why you been on these injections for so long
8-10 months for who had 2/3 injections, I had 4 injections. And it looks like It's going to take me over a year
Your recovery might take around 2/3 years since you were on these injections long term, sorry
Long term antipsychotics alter the brain and also cause brain damage
I'm 8 months off and not much improvement

CTO is a legal agreement where you are forced to take meds/injections, otherwise they call the cops on you and take you to the hospital

My last shot is in April 2018. By then I would have been on the shot for 2 years. I've experienced everything from anhedonia, blank mind, cognitive effects, and weight gain. I still have the cognitive effects today, and it's hard to socialize with others. It's like I can't keep up with the conversation, so I just keep it short and brief. I used to write music, but words don't come to me as easily anymore. Would this all change once I'm finally off invega sustenna? How normal would you be after 8-10 months off invega? How does it feel to be off the drug once it's eliminated from your body? How does it feel for your brain to be back to normal?

be safe when dealing with psycotic drugs that are being given by psychiatrist you wont get the full details of the side effects in the long run it will mess your world up i dont recommend them for anyone its a living hell there are other alternatives

I don't think she really knows she always says" oh i know now "now this is making sense shes always trying to figure things out so i sit down with her with pictures to see who she remembers,um i drew her a chart out on how people are actually related to each other she actually uses that she will go to do something and totally forget what she was doing or i will ask her to do something and she will head to do something else not that she does'nt hear me but she does'nt remember plus she repeats herself alot when shes talking out loud

do you have conversations with your daughter does she express how she feels how the drug has affected her memory. Is she aware of wut the drug has done like I am

:) so just like me, the same process for your daughter she's going to eliminate invega completely 10 months from her last injection which will be in august.
And once it's eliminated you slowly start going back to your oldslef. You have no more drug in your body to affect you, that's wht I been told by other sufferers

Please don't get Injections ever again, antipsychotics especially injections higher doses cause brain damage. Since her last injection was 10/26. Her body will eliminate invega completely by summer around August.

I pass my 6th half life on Jan 18 where invega will almost be eliminated from my body and there will only be around 5 mg left

When was your daughters last injection ?

her last injection was apx.10/26 she went from 156 mg to 117 mg just because i kept complaining to the Dr but he was still trying to convince that she had to be on this medicine and not to wing her off he wasn't willing to work with me no matter what i said but told me that that's what he does is distribute the meds. like i didn't already know this but did he take in consideration the well being of my daughter obviously not 5 min and the session was over until the next time thank god shes only been back on for about 4 months this time but no more i refuse.

That's some good research on vitamins :) I will start taking niacin I have to find 100mg capsules and yes right about vitamin d
I use to take supplements regularly before, now I forget and can't look after myslef the same way
But I'm setting up alarm on my phone to remind me to take supplements

Invega can't help people, instead of helping the patient, the drug makes it worse a living hell
we are living a nightmare every single day and it has no end, since she's hearing voices
Find an orthomolecular doctor get her on the right dosage of niacin and vitamins
You need little bit of help in this situation from a naturopath
I just hope she gets enough niacin in supplements

Hi sandh. the niacin curves the schizophrenia while the vitamin c will boost her immune system along with the B-100, vitamins vitamin D-3 is takes place of the energy we dont get from the sun daily the omega 3,6,9 are you fatty acids our body needs, And the activated charcoal is a detox from harmful chemical in are body. Ginko biloba is good for memory i take 3 a day depending on the mg.

I spoke to my pharmacist friend, invega sustenna takes 8 - 10 months to eliminate from the body
It has a half life of 50 days, the drug cuts in half every 50 days, and it take about 6 half lives to eliminate that's 300 days

Wut meds is she on ?? When was her last injection
I don't have a schizophrenia, I dunno for wut they injected me with the poison
I don't have much of my memory I only remember some bits
