Coming Off Invega Sustenna (Page 7)

Hi,

I was given Invega Sustenna at 100mg a month for 10 months since Dec 5th. My last shot was on August 29th 2013.

The medication gave me severe anhedonia and I have lost the motivation and willpower to do anything. I can no longer experience joy, happiness, or pleasure from anything I do and I have no interest in doing anything. I constantly feel restless and uneasy and I just can't shake this feeling away no matter what. All of these started about a week after my first IV.

I have been off this medication for almost 3 months now and I have yet to feel any improvements. I have read that it has a long half life of 25-49 days and that it can stay in your body for 300 days. So does that mean I will have to wait a year to start feeling better?

Any info on someone who has been off this med would be greatly appreiciated. I am interested to learn how many months it takes to feel better after invega sustenna.

These drugs are a damn nightmare! They have taken me down and I'm over the side effects. Has anyone actually lost their weight after coming off Invega? If anyone has been successful I'd love to hear from you. I am finding my hormones have been stuffed up so much that moving this last 5kg is really hard.

I have 3 months until its been 300 days. And I've just been watching my calories making sure I dont over eat.

300 days is a long time for it to be out of our system what are they thinking giving us this medication!!!! 300 days until it's out of my system has gotta be the worst of the worst. It's not fair!! Not fair at ALL I bet its not even out of our system in 300 days I bet its just caused permanent damage.

Yeah seriously it is a long time but so far its been going by pretty fast for me. I can wait 3 more months. I look foward to actually getting drunk for Christmas!

Can u get drunk Andrew? I can't even get drunk and it's been four months since my last shot. I can drink two bottles of wine and not even get tipsy. I'm picking it's from the meds I can't wait till I can feel some relaxation from alcohol again.

Christmas would be your 300 days but what if it's caused permanent damage in that area. I reckon it has caused permanent damage. I don't think it go's away. It just sits in your system. Let me know if you can actually get drunk at Xmas. My bet is you still won't be able to. If you still can't now. My 300 days isn't until May next year.

Andrew, they might as well of lobotomised us. In fact they did paralyse me with this drug. This drug is just EVIL and I'm hating it. I feel like a prisoner in my own body. All cause I got paranoid over my Facebook being hacked into and emails. They did this to me.... It's hell on earth. I can't see how this will leave my system as it seems to of caused permanent damage. I hate them for this. Someone tell me it gets better? The drugs have stuffed up every fibre of my being. It has to be the worst of the worst feelings.

Are you able to loose weight yet? I am trying to get into ketosis. I am not sure if my body will go into it. My body is stuffed my hormones are stuffed. This has gotta be the worst of the worst.

I've tried and tried, but I can't get drunk anymore. These meds have stuffed me up. I bet these injections have caused it. It's like they gave me a big injection of tolerance. These meds have killed me. Why!? Why did they give me this drug?! I never needed it and I sure as hell didn't need to be in a hospital. There was no need for it......not at all. It has made me gain weight, it has made me a mess and ruined my life. I never used to be this way. They have taken my soul. They have taken everything, my job, my weight and now I can't even get drunk from the wine. There's no turning back. I'm in a hole of no return...There's no need for this. I never deserved this. It's pretty bad.

Yeah this sucks. I have not been able to loose any weight yet. I think its because the injection is still in my system. I have 81 days left till its out.

Do you think it will truley leave your system in 81 days? At this rate I believe it's caused permanent damage. I don't reckon it leAves the system as such. The hormones have been permanently damaged.

hi i have a nineteen yr old daughter dealing with schizophrenia right now and I'm also trying to tamper her even though the psychiatrist only give me more medication as a option for her but I refuse to increase her medicine any more my opinion it's all about money with this one he doesn't listen to my concerns about my daughter and visit are less then 5 min anyway whatever you do don't go cold turkey tamper yourself slowly I just read it takes 25-49 days to wear off and 125-343 to completely leave yr body I'm not a Dr but I made that mistake a went cold turkey with her and this schizophrenia snuck up on me out of nowhere so hopefully this helps sighted a parent going through

I got 3 injections and didnt really have withdrawal symptoms. I had a few small headaches like 3 times but they went away and havent came back and its been 8 months since my last injection. I didnt really feel zombified other than not having as much energy and being in bed all day it also messed with not getting drunk as quickly. I think Im fully recovered. I have more energy and Im also not as hungry as I used to be

How's your anhedonia (no joy or pleasure from anything you used to enjoy doing), and can you get a buzz from alcohol yet? I'm at 11 and a half months, slowly coming right I hope. What a horrible disgusting inhumane drug to give to anyone. I hope we all come right in the end.
