Cold Feet Helped By Mirtazapine
UpdatedHave stopped taking Mirtazapine because of excrutiating pain in my legs whilst on it. I have had cold / freezing feet for years but when on Mirt my feet were always warm and toasty. Does anyone know why this should be and what ingredient would have been responsible?? It was lovely to have warm feet and be able to wear little shoes rather than boots and socks all the time and I would take a 'warm feet' pill if I knew of one provided it didn't have painful side effects!

Hello, Lesley! How are you?
It sounds like you may have Raynauds Phenomenon, which is a syndrome where your circulation is kind of screwed up, so your hands and feet get cold easily. It can happen due to various weather conditions, medications, or emotional stress, as reported by the NIH. I suffer from it myself. Some medications worsen it and some improve it.
And there are medications that your doctor can prescribe to help with it. For example, you can try calcium channel blockers and alpha blockers.
Have you ever informed your doctor of this issue?
