Coating And Shape Of M30 Oxycodone - Has The Manufacturer Changed?

Recently filled a script for oxycodone 30mg. It has a m on one side and 30 on the other.The coating is so hard you can hardly break it in half. Looked up the pill and it appears to be a brighter blue that is thinner in the middle. It does not seem to be as effective in strength as either the A215 or a K9. Is there something wrong with these pills?

These tablets are manufactured by Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals. There is nothing that states they must look the same as those made by the other manufactures, so it is normal for generics to look different.

Rather than breaking them, you should get yourself a pill cutter, it cuts them much easier and is more accurate.

The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

There can be slight fluctuations from one generic to another, but since they are very slight, most people usually adjust in about a week. If you don't, then you should consult your doctor.

Do you or anyone else know of a list of manufacturers that produce Oxycodone? There seems to be so many with different affects on individuals. I am taking 10mg oxycodone that is very marginal and I do not want to increase the dosage until I absolutely have to. Mallinckrodt has been the best so far but they don't make a 10mg version, I have been taking 2-5mg because thats all the pharmacy stocked.
