Hi,
I have been on Co-Micardis 40/12,5 for 5 years now and bp is steady at 110/70. Recently moved to Saudi Arabia and today the Dr put me on Micardis 80 Plus, I think because of the language barrier as my bp tested normal. Can I take 1/2 tablet daily?

They are listed as containing the same ingredients, Telmisartan and Hydrochlorotiazide, so you may want to take just half of a tablet, as long as your doctor approves. The language barrier might have caused some misunderstandings.
The U.S. FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and hypotension.
