Recently I had Angioplasty and I have been asked to take Clopilet 75mg and ecosprin 75mg; the latter to be taken life-long. Former may be stopped after one year, for better blood flow.

I have been recently admitted in Pvt. Hospital. During discharge, my Dr. prescribed me Clopilet 75mg along with Ecosprin 150mg. Ecosprin was prescribed to me for five years and possibly as a life-long treatment plan after my CABG. Is it neccessary and advisable to take two blood thinners?

Clopilet contains the active ingredient Clopidogrel, this is an antiplatelet agent used to help prevent clotting of the blood.

Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, bleeding and anemia.
