Clopidogrel And Bruising

I have been taking Clopidogrel for 3 years and the bruising I get has gradually gotten worse. It appears all over my body. At the moment I have two black eyes. I have been to doctors numerous times and they send me away saying we can’t change the tablet. I have now been started on depression tablets due to this. Help!

Unfortunately, easy bruising is a side effect of all of the medications in this class, according to FDA reports, along with nausea, increased risk of bleeding, and headache.

The best suggestion I can make is to sit down with your doctor and ask them how you can mitigate the bruising, ask if there are certain precautions you can take that would help.
