I took Clonidine for three years for high blood pressure. I had severe itching and stinging in both shoulders intermittently. I was miserable. It took me three years to confirm that Clonidine was the culprit. The doctor didn't believe me so ordered x rays for neck arthritis. Nothing showed up but a touch of arthritis. I'm completely free of the Clonidine symptoms now that I've cut out Clonidine.Not one single Doctor thought Clonidine could have such debilitating symptoms that I faced. This is for anyone out there who is suffering from side effects of Clonidine.

Hello, Debra! I am very sorry about what you've been through.
It is sad that your doctor didn't believe you. The symptoms you've described are listed as possible side effects to this medication, according to the FDA, they just aren't very common. The typical ones usually include nausea, dizziness, headache, insomnia and increased urination.
You are not the first person to report having such issues from taking it and I am sure you will not be the last.
What medication did you switch to?
