Clonazepam With Amitriptyline As A Sleep Aid

Someone in another thread here wrote that their father takes four 2mg Clonazepam to get to sleep. He's having problems because he is taking Amitriptyline at the same time. Well the answer is in the question. Don't take either. Clonazepam is not a hypnotic sleeper. Amitriptyline isn't either. The latter is just rubbish to get you out of surgery and Clonazepam is a strong Benzo that helps prevent seizures in Epilepsy. Halcyon is/was a great sleeping pill. Flurazepam and Flunitrazepam allowed in Sweden is another. Phenobarbital, Tunal, and Temazepam are not so good but are a hypnotic. I hope this helps anyone else who may be seeking alternative sleep aids.

Amitripylene is a horrible drug! Was prescribed this because I had a bad reaction to gabipinton. My body never adjusted to the fog amitriptylene put me in. I couldn't wake up! I can't express how bad this medicine is! I slept through fireworks! The weight gain was significant 30 lbs in 2 months,& once I weaned myself off my hair started falling out in handfuls! Needs to be taken off the market!
