Clonazepam is a Benzodiazepine, it is also prescribed under the brand name Klonopin and it may cause side effects, such as nausea, headache, drowsiness and irritability.

It can also be extremely habit forming.

My husband has been taking clonazepam 0.5mgs for his nerves two times a day for a while and has been experiencing great memory loss. Went to see a psychiatrist and he's taking him off. We asked why, but the family dr didn't know and he said cause he's a psychiatrist. Is clonazepam a narcotic and will this continue to cause more memory loss?
