Clonazepam "help" (Top voted first)
UpdatedI've been taking clonazapam for 17 yrs now for my epilepsy! This last visit with my Neurologist went sour, due to the abuse of clonazapam he discontinued my medicine treating me as if I was nothing. Well I started seizing and went to get help in the er, the doctor said they don't prescribe this type of drug in the er. I'm in tears. I've threatened suicide and still received no help and that's when I thought my world was falling apart. I have never in my life abused this medication nor have they had any positive results of abusing this medication, I hate and I know its wrong to insinuate that someone is misusing a medication. I'm taking this complaint to the top until I'm satisfied. This has kept my seizures under control all these years?? I refuse to go down hill and watch my life drift away. I need help to find the company's contact information that makes this drug please!

Instead of going to the top just sue the physician. That makes much more sense.
I don't know how it worked out but your story makes no sense.
I am very sorry about what happened. Has anything changed?
It is very odd that a neurologist, who should be familiar with the use of Clonazepam to treat seizures, would discontinue it abruptly, especially with the increased risk of seizures that can be caused by sudden withdrawal. Did he give a specific reason as to why he was no longer prescribing it for you?
Clonazepam is a benzodiazepine, so it does carry the risk of being habit forming, and is very commonly abused, so the government does advise doctors to be very cautious when prescribing it.
What other medications have you tried for your seizures, or have you just always been on this one?
