Hello, Tiffany! How are you?
It is never a good idea to take an expired antibiotic. Since medications lose effectiveness over time, it may not completely eradicate the bacteria and could result in your developing antibiotic resistant bacteria. It would be best to see your dentist for a new prescription, if an infection is present.
The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.
Is there anything else I can help with?
