Clean Ua From Lorazepam

I am curious as to how long this medicine (Lorazepam) will remain in my system in regards to detectability from urinalysis screening. It is prescribed, but don't want employer to know of my situation.

It depends on how often you take them; if you just use it occasionally then it will take 48 to 72 hours to be out of your system, but if you use it every day then benzo's can stay in your urine up to 30 days.

My research tells me that labs don't typically screen for specific prescription medications (that aren't narcotics). But since Lorazepam happens to be a benzo, it will likely show up on a "sensitive" test. Lorazepam can be detected by Benzodiazepines (BZO) urine drug tests.

There are testing kits available for Benzodiazepines that you may be interested in googling. that way you can always test yourself and know what to expect ahead of time.

I don't know how much time you've given yourself to be clean before the test, but in the worst case scenario I would consider letting them know what's going on, even if you have to make something up to sound more credible to them. Many places allow employees to present proof of prescription prior to the screening.
