I need help with the side effects and any other information on Citenvir as ARV and also the effects of Purbac Double Strength used together with Citenvir

Since I posted I didn't receive any answers and the side effects are still the same. I tried speaking to my Dr about this but its the same, so I take Citenvir then an hour later take Novavit but it doesn't help. Somnetimes I don't take Novavit at all. I hope I'm not doing any damage.

Iv been using citenvir for two moths now and I have bad side effets , being forgetful n dizzy will I ever be normal again, b4 I had a very good memory especially with cell numbers. I'm feeling sick. Pls help

im taking Citenvir with Novavit and they are making me dizzy and I feel like I have stomach ulcers. I always feel like im drunk after taking them andfeel like my bed is spinning, I cant sleep well and i feel better when im not taking them please help as I discomfort when im taking both this medication. And I fear for my health as im HIV+ and need to be on medication.

I just started citenvir pills I was taking them at night 10pm now I want to change and take them at 8pm or 9pm..is there any problem with that?..

Hi,after being on Citenvir for ten days,I developed small sores on the inside of my private parts,that are also itchy and uncomfortable especially at night,causing sensitivity when I urinate.Are these caused by the drug,and are they going to pass or does it mean I should stop using or change it?

You should talk with your doctor regarding your concerns about continuing follow up visits, since the medication seems to be working so well for you. I think they only recommend follow ups to periodically see how your body responds to the medication more so than anything.

All three of the active ingredients in Citenvir (efavirenz + emtricitabine + tenofovir) list "rashes" as a general side effect on the site for the US National Library of Medicine. So you may have to discuss this with your doctor if the symptoms have become too bothersome or severe. He/she may recommend trying something else instead if the rash doesn't go away on its own overtime.

The warning label for this medication notes that you should not become pregnant while taking Citenvir, as the precautions suggest that Efavirenz (one of the main ingredients in Citenvir) may harm the fetus.

My sister is taking Citenvir, she was advised by her doctor to take the medication at night before she sleep but now she is having a rash on her face. Please help what can she use for her face. Also is it part of the side effect?

Hi.
I take Citenvir with Novavit plus before I go to bed, they are making me dizzy well into the following day and I find it hard to work the next day.

Hi is etreslewin the generic name for citenvir because my doctor says it is,I hv been using. Citenvir for more than 6 months with minimal side effects nw the the doctor changed me to etreslewin without informing me and I m very sick,itching burning on my chest soon after taking and dizzyness takes longer,the headache that doesnt go away

Based on my research Citenvir tablets contain 600mgs of Efavirenz + 200mgs of Emtricitabine + 300mgs of Tenofovir disoproxil fumarate.

This combination of meds is used to treat HIV infection. Apparently it works by reducing the amount of HIV in your blood stream.

@Angelface - Before starting any new medication, you should probably discuss its safety with your doctor first. Taking Efavirenz in and of itself is said to cause liver problems in some individuals. However you'd be significantly increasing your risk of that by taking other medications (like Purbac) that also heavily impact the liver; namely the Sulfamethoxazole in it.
